One of my biggest learnings is to know when good is good enough, meaning the importance to know when to stop before my pursuit of perfection undermines my judgment.

Describe yourself in 25 words or less:

Monika is a member of the Abenaki First Nation of Odanak. She has built a rich and diverse portfolio over the course of nearly 30 years in the broadcasting industry.

Fun fact about yourself:

Monika is an avid scuba diver and has been to Roatan, Honduras, already 9 times because of its stunning coral reef.

Where are you currently working? Describe your current job in a sentence or two.

Monika started her new position as CEO of APTN on the same day the final paper was due, December 16th. She has been with the organization for 16 years.

What achievement are you most proud of in your professional career?

Being able to support talented Indigenous storytellers by offering them the possibility to create unique and powerful television concepts for all to appreciate.

What was your favorite EMBA course and what was the biggest insight you gained about business from it?

The Reflective Mindset module gave me great insight into who I am as a leader and helped set the stage for the empowering EMBA journey.

What did you enjoy most about the EMBA experience in general?

Meeting new people and expanding my network.

What is the biggest lesson you gained during your EMBA and how did you apply it at work?

What advice would you give to a student looking to enter an executive MBA program?

Trust yourself and even more so trust the EMBA process.
