The McGill – HEC Montréal EMBA program held the first meeting of its newly created advisory board earlier this week. The advisory board, under the Chairmanship of Thierry Vandal, CEO of Hydro Québec, is composed of 14 senior business leaders, including 5 program alumni. Its role is to guide the strategic direction of the program.

Alain Pinsonneault, co-director of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal and professor at McGill University explains: “The creation of an advisory board is an important step for our program. It will ensure that our program stays relevant, at the forefront of executive education, and innovative – all of which are very important in the competitive executive education market.”

“We are privileged to have these distinguished individuals and management experts on our Advisory Board.  Their expertise, new ideas and insights will be particularly useful and will benefit the program and its future,” adds Louis Hébert, co-director of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal program and professor at HEC Montréal.

The McGill – HEC Montréal EMBA program aims to reduce the distance between the classroom and the organization, and between the classroom and the business community. The creation of the advisory board fits with this philosophy and it will ensure that the program continues to stay connected to the realities faced by today’s business leaders.
