patrizia-pino-the-envelope_optIn collaboration with Vittorio Rossi, a renowned Montreal playwright who lambasted the Canadian film industry in last season’s Centaur Theatre world premiere of his play, “THE ENVELOPE”, producer Patrizia Pino, a 2010 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA alumna, is turning Rossi’s stage script into a film. On October 1st, 2015, they will launch a 45-day Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, in an effort to re-invent the business model of the film industry.  Here is what Patrizia had to say about her new project and how it brought back some of her EMBA memories and learnings:

“I am very excited about my new endeavour as Producer on my very first Feature Film “THE ENVELOPE”. This experience of collaborating, innovating and exchanging ideas with talented people, reminds me of the many stimulating discussions that took place in our EMBA classes. The creative collision that happens when debating and understanding our core skill set, building value creation and branding our product is what gave structure to our Kickstarter.com campaign. The EMBA program gave me a better understanding of what networking means, and that has helped me drive this adventure forward.  It is not only who you know, it is also about applying my skill set to assemble a ‘community’ of like-minded people who are authentic enthusiasts. Surrounding myself with fantastic talent and creating momentum towards success, truly gives me the sense that we are creating with purpose, something meaningful, something new.”
