Each year HEC Montréal salutes the excellence of faculty members with its Research and Teaching Awards, presented thanks to support from the HEC Montréal Foundation. A total of 13 awards are presented. This year, a number of the winners are well-known among EMBA alumni and participants.

Réal Jacob, Professor, Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HEC Montréal, and Co-Director of Catalytic Mindset Module of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal, received the Esdras-Minville Award. This award acknowledges the remarkable contribution made by a professor to HEC Montréal’s renown, through his or her activities and achievements in the academic, professional and public spheres over the past three years.

Louis-Hébert_optProfessors Eric Brunelle, Associate Professor, Department of Management and Director and editor of the Revue Gestion, Alain Gosselin, Professor, Human Resources Management Department, Director of HEC Montréal’s École des dirigeants and Director of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal Reflective Mindset module, Louis Hébert, Professor, Department of Management, director of HEC Montréal MBA program and co-director of the EMBA McGill – HEC Montréal, Réal Jacob and Roman Oryschuk, Associate Professor, École des dirigeants, received the Roger Charbonneau Award for their book Paroles de PDG. This award recognizes the quality of a book not specifically intended for use in one or more courses, by one or more professors, researchers, full-time faculty lecturers or full-time lecturers.

Both awards demonstrate that EMBA faculty and module directors have strong links to the business community. This is key to our program’s philosophy of reducing the distance between the classroom and the workplace, emphasizing learning that is relevant for executives right away.
