Atypic, a consulting services firm for the plural sector in Quebec, founded and managed by Pascal Lépine, a 2012 EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal graduate, announced the acquisition of Tactic direct, an agency specialized in relationship marketing for the plural sector.

The merger of these two complementary companies has already begun. “The integration of the two teams is going well”, Pascal observed. “Within days, harmony is developing across teams and employees remain very committed. Tactic direct’s former owner is also very engaged and continues to play an important role in the business.”

The company will now be a “one-stop shop”, responding to all needs for strategy, management, communication, marketing, financing and talent acquisition for non-profit organizations.

Pascal Lépine is very pleased with this new acquisition and sincerely believes that the EMBA contributed to it: “The EMBA has had an incredible impact on my professional life. Much more than what I had anticipated or even hoped. At the end of the EMBA, inspired by Henry Mintzberg, who supervised my final paper and with whom I maintain strong ties, I decided to change my business model. In the first year following that decision, my business turnover doubled. With the recent acquisition of Tactic direct, it is now almost ten times higher!” says Pascal.

This new challenge does not intimidate him: “The knowledge acquired during the program, but especially the inspiring people I interacted with during the EMBA, helped me gain greater self-confidence as an entrepreneur and motivated me to take on more ambitious challenges such as this one”, he says.

The merger should be completed in early 2016. Learn more on Isarta Info.
