After leading the Contrecoeur West Bar Mill for the last three years, Guillaume will be the new Director for the Longueuil Bar Mill at AMLPC. In 2018, he led Contrecoeur to its best safety record, a five year high in quality, and increased its output by 5.6% compared to 2017, making the unit a major contributor to a record earnings(EBITDA) year for AMLPC. Guillaume achieved all of this while implementing a new continuous improvement method called WCM (World Class Manufacturing) and aligning the team with the strategic growth plan to implement and launch successfully two new pieces of equipment during the summer of 2019.
In Longueuil, Guillaume’s first steps will be to deploy an “at large” equipment reliability program to improve productivity and output, while increasing the quality level. This plant produces high added value products, mainly directed to the demanding automotive industry. This opportunity will help familiarize him with a broader part of the business, products and customer base at AMLPC.
