Sarah Gheriani (EMBA 2020)

Consultant, Digital & Strategy at Gheriani & Associates Inc.

I believe as leaders we need to lead by example which means we need to be involved in our communities.

Describe your current job in a sentence or two:

During the MBA I started working as a consultant with organizations to implement customer-centric processes to manage and measure their sales/customer service teams’ productivity. These companies are often considering or have already purchased Salesforce.com and are wanting to learn how to use these tools to their full potential.

Extracurricular Activities, Community Work and Leadership Roles:

I believe as leaders we need to lead by example which means we need to be involved in our communities. I sit on the Community Grants Committee of Federation CJA. We make decisions regarding grants towards poverty and psychosocial relief within the Jewish Community of Montreal.

Which academic or extracurricular achievement are you most proud of during the EMBA?

I’m very proud of my research on “How to Improve Patient-Centric Care in Canada”; I am very passionate about my topic! I entered McGIll’s 3MT competition and have now advanced to the finals. I entered the competition to ensure my research doesn’t go unnoticed.

What is the biggest lesson you gained during your EMBA and how did you apply it at work?

It’s not only about journaling, it’s about how you reflect. It’s important to ask ourselves the hard questions, reflect, and write down the answers. Come back to your decisions regularly then hold yourself accountable to change.
