Over the course of his career, Daleyne Guay, a 2016 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA alumnus, created and then sold eight companies, in different industries. To say that he knows something about entrepreneurship is an understatement!

“Every day, people ask me how to go about starting a business and whether they should do it or not.”

These questions triggered Daleyne to write the book La clé des entrepreneurs à succès. His book, launched at the beginning of May 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, aims to be “a step-by-step guide to achieve your own success”.  Given that the crisis is leading many people to rethink their futures, and that many are now considering going into business, Daleyne believes his book will fill a real need.

In writing his book, Daleyne didn’t want to hide the truth:

“Entrepreneurship is not easy. It’s not all bright. In the book, I reflect on my personal experiences and I say things as they are – to be successful, it takes work”.

The book is written for people who dream of being an entrepreneur, offering them a guide through their decision and validation process. .

“The book is largely inspired by the first module of the McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA, the ‘Reflective Mindset’. I wanted to encourage readers to ask themselves real questions and take some time to think about the important things. I’m talking about analyzing our own strengths and weaknesses in order to determine if we have an ‘entrepreneurial profile’ and an ‘entrepreneurial mindset’. “
