Laurent Andriot, a 2020 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA alumnus, recently accepted the role of Vice-president of Engineering for Dr-B, a startup in the Health Care sector.

Dr-B, which is currently in the process to be renamed Lotus Medical, is a startup that just closed its seed funding round. The company’s vision is to change the health care system in Canada, by creating a model of highly efficient and enhanced experience clinics through advanced technological products and physical spaces following biophilic design principles.

In his new role, Laurent Andriot will be in charge of building a highly collaborative and efficient team and lead them through automating and streamlining all the operations that the healthcare professionals have to perform. Laurent will also be in charge of enhancing the patient experience by, for example, predicting the waiting time so that patients can properly time their arrival at the clinic.

“Being one of the early executives in the company, I will be able to have a huge impact on the company culture and strategy. We are entering an industry ripe for disruption but also protected by a strong regulation. The EMBA program through the different modules gave me the tools to better analyze, challenge, and enhance business models. This will be key to create a competitive advantage and help drive Dr-B to success.”
