Maryline Thomas, a current EMBA McGill-HEC Montreal participant has accepted a new role as Director of Engineering at ODS Medical. The company pioneered the surgical probe which assists neurosurgeons in the removal of cancerous tumors. The tool uses Raman spectroscopy which distinguishes between healthy tissue and cancerous tissue.

Maryline will have the challenge of training the engineering team and building the new production line in their new lab. She has more than ten years of experience in engineering microfabrication of optical products for various fields: automotive, biomedical, aerospace, environmental and military.

For Maryline, the EMBA program has provided tools that strengthened her reflections linked to personal convictions, ethics, culture and values that are essential to the success of a company, particularly through meetings and workshops offered by professors Estelle Morin and Louis Hébert.
