Julie Normand (EMBA 2017) joins Delegatus as head of administrative services Julie Normand, lawyer and a 2017 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA graduate, has recently taken on the role of head of administrative services at Delegatus, an innovative law firm launched in 2005 by Pascale Pageau. Over the last few years, Julie Normand has worked at JTI Macdonald as General Counsel, and has been the Executive Director of Dress for Success Montreal, an organization whose mission is to foster women’s financial independence. Julie was pleased to take on a new professional challenge that will leverage her legal and management skills: "I am delighted with this new role! I will be responsible for optimizing every aspect of the firm’s operations and executing business plans to achieve its growth objectives. I will report directly to the President and serve on the Executive Committee. It is a management position in a legal environment which is a perfect combination!" Laurent Morisset’s final EMBA paper helps him create and launch OBNL 360 C4 Communications, founded in 2002 by Laurent Morisset, a recent McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA graduate, launches OBNL360. In an article published in Infopresse, Laurent Morisset explains that "OBNL360 is the culmination of 15 years of work" with non-profit organizations (NPOs) and Quebec associations. Laurent had chosen NPOs as topic of his final EMBA paper. For four months, supervised by Professor Real Jacob, he was able to broaden his market research and knowledge as well as to deepen his awareness of the different needs, expectations and challenges of this specific clientele. Based on this research, combined with his own experience in the field, he decided to launch OBNL 360, a business unit within C4 Communications, which aims to be a one-stop shop for "complete and integrated" services in strategy, management and communication to support NPOs and associations.
Alexandre Jeong, a 2016 McGill-HEC Montreal Executive MBA program graduate, is an enthusiastic leader with the vision to align business and IT by determining and delivering key strategic solutions, developing new business and establishing trusted relationships with clients and peers. With his vast experience within different large organizations, he was the ideal candidate for his new role as Senior Lead, Technology Strategy & Architecture at Deloitte. Alexandre’s personal mission at the consulting firm is to “help leading companies defining their technology strategy to create business value”.
Alain Dadoun, a 2013 graduate of the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program, has recently been appointed Vice President, Small Business Care and Sales at Bell. Alain is an electrical engineer, a Polytechnique Montréal graduate, and has been working for over 14 years. He has held several management positions at Bell over the last several years and has been involved in, among other things, transformation projects, multichannel programs, strategy and digital experience. He has a broad perspective of Bell's operations, which will certainly prove to be useful in his new role as Vice President.
Marc J. Ménard, a 2017 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA graduate, recently joined Christie Innomed, an organization that develops, distributes, integrates and supports solutions and products in the fields of medical imaging and information management solutions. Marc now holds the position of Executive Director, Business Development. With his vast experience in implementing business strategies, supporting entrepreneurs and managing diversified financial projects simultaneously, Marc has mainly specialized in financial re-engineering, business valuation and mergers and acquisitions since 2004. This new role on Christie Innomed's executive committee will be a significant career change and his first step into the pharmaceutical / medical imaging industry. Thanks to his experience, and with the confidence and knowledge developed during the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA, he will certainly become an important asset in the development of Christie Innomed.
Bruno Meunier completed the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program last February and has already received a promotion at Kevric Real Estate Corp., where he has been working for the past 5 years. Kevric is a leader in the Canadian real estate industry specializing in the redevelopment and repositioning of properties, and the development of new properties primarily in Montreal, Toronto and the National Capital District of Ottawa. Over the last five years, Bruno has been acting as Director, Energy and Technical Services, but has recently been promoted to Senior Director, Operations.
LEMKEN Canada, the Canadian division of the family business LEMKEN, a world-renowned professional agricultural equipment manufacturer, has experienced strong growth since 2010, when Laurent Letzter was the first and only employee of the division. The LEMKEN Canada team has grown quickly and changes were required, according to Laurent Letzter, current McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA participant and new Managing director of LEMKEN Canada. "We have recently made a significant change. We opened an import office in St-Hyacinthe with a complete parts warehouse for all of Canada. It was only natural that I become the managing director of this new structure and it seemed indispensable to me to participate in the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program to have the right tools to take on these responsibilities, but also to obtain good results with my colleagues and partners."

Marco De Tavira Ayala, a current McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA participant, has recently been appointed as Section Chief Project Engineering Global 7000 Green A/C at Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services. Marco will now coordinate the EWIS Green A/C engineering activities across all business sites, being; Montreal, Toronto, and Global Completions Center. “This new role is an opportunity I created for myself by applying my learnings from the program in my role. I am already taking advantage of the Collaborative IP to establish the strategy to take on my new responsibilities and to empower my team” explained Marco to the EMBA team.
Captain André-Pierre Jean receives the Certified Human Resources Advisors - Diversity and Inclusion Award At this year’s Gala in support of the CRHA* Foundation, Captain André-Pierre Jean, 2nd Canadian Division of the Canadian Armed Forces, a current McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA participant, received the HR Recognition Award for Diversity and Inclusion. This award is given to an organization that has implemented a program promoting the ethno-cultural diversity of its workforce, be it through recruitment, business strategy, or adherence to values of inclusion. André-Pierre Jean worked on establishing and growing a major project: the implementation an advisory committee focused on differences and support for various minorities within the Ministry of National Defense and the Canadian Armed Forces in Quebec. The project, now called Équipe D + (Diversity +), was André’s idea. In less than two years, Équipe D + has brought together more than 55 volunteer members who are working on ways to promote the inclusion of minorities. The team consists of six sub-committees: Women, LGBTQ2 +, Aboriginal Peoples, Persons with Disabilities, Visible Minorities and Religions / Spirituality. They have organized several activities and participated in a number of events such as Pride Canada, in order to help minorities feel accepted within the Canadian Armed Forces. * Order of Certified Human Resources Advisors

His 12 years of experience in the financial services sector, and his evolving leadership skills, developed in part through the EMBA, have led to his appointment as Assistant Vice President, CWA (Central, Western & Atlantic Canada) at National Bank. Changing jobs, changing cities, and completing the Executive MBA. It’s a tall order, but François has the energy and focus to succeed. As Assistant Vice President, he will have to mobilize a team of Financial Planning Managers, a role he held himself until his appointment, in their day-to-day management of Financial Planners. François will also be in charge of developing and implementing strategies to increase the National Bank's market share in the investment sector. As the leader of a team of seasoned financial planning managers, François will be putting into practice several aspects of management that he has developed further during the EMBA, including, among others, coaching, collaboration and strategy development.
