Louis R. Chênevert, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of United Technologies Corporation has accepted the role of Class Patron of the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA class starting in September 2014. Every McGill-HEC Montréal Executive MBA class is paired with a business leader who shares his or her experience with the group.
To date, these patrons have been : Paul Desmarais Jr., Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Power Corporation and Co-Chairman of Power Financial, Thierry Vandal, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hydro-Québec, Serge Godin, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board, CGI, Monique Leroux, Chair of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Desjardins Group, Bob Swidler, President, J. Robert Swidler & Associates and Laurent Lapierre, renowned leadership author.
Louis R. Chênevert was elected Chief Executive Officer of United Technologies Corporation in April 2008 and Chairman in January 2010. He also served as President, Pratt & Whitney, from April 1999 through March 2006.
Mr. Chênevert earned a bachelor of commerce degree in production management from HEC Montreal. He is Chairman of HEC Montreal’s International Advisory Board and a founding director and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Friends of HEC Montreal. He also received a doctorate honoris causa from HEC Montreal in May 2010.
