Herold_Helmut_opt(1)Helmut Herold, a participant of the new EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal cohort and CEO, North America of Senvion Canada Inc., has been selected as one of the “40 under 40 New Energy Leaders” organized by Recharge, a leading publication and news source for the renewable energy industry globally. The 40 were selected by Recharge after extensive consultation with the industry, after almost 100 people had been nominated.

The official press release states that “The 40 are made up of a diverse group of individuals from across the globe, from the worlds of renewables technology, finance, development, social engagement and advocacy. The list includes people from major wind and solar companies, banks, investment funds, crowd-funding platforms and governments.” The list of this new energy leaders is available at the end of this press release.

Born in 1975, Helmut Herold is the CEO of Senvion North America and Managing Director of Senvion Canada. In three short years, his efforts as MD have resulted in almost 1.5GW of clean and renewable wind energy investments being deployed across the Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia provinces.

Due to Helmut’s initiative, Senvion has brought multiple hundreds of jobs to each province and has greatly expanded the footprint of the company’s installations across North America.

In regards to job creation, one of the Key achievements was the set up of Senvion’s first blade production facility in North America, an investment that has created about 130 more jobs so far.
