Chamberland Steven 2013_opt (2)Steven Chamberland, Eng., Adm. A., Ph.D., a current EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal participant, has been appointed as Director of Academic Affairs and Student Life at Polytechnique Montréal, effective August 1st, 2015. Professor Steven Chamberland graduated from Polytechnique in 1994 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and obtained his doctorate in Engineering Mathematics in 1998.

In his new position he will have the opportunity to apply the management tools he acquired in doing his EMBA, since he will be responsible for planning, coordination and management of all activities related to teaching, while ensuring a stimulating study environment and a rewarding academic and extra-academic life for students. His main objective as Director of Academic Affairs and Student Life will be to develop curricula that meet the needs of students, connect with the requirements of the labor market and meet the standards of excellence required for the practice of engineering. He will be heading the following units: the Office of Faculty Affairs, the Office of the Registrar, Student Services, Recruitment Service, the Teaching Support Office, Internships and Placement Service and the Carrefour Development (continuing education).directeur des études de premier cycle.
