A busy year for Dian Luo just got busier. Dian started the EMBA program 14 months ago, juggling the program’s demands with her full time job as Director of Legal and Business Affairs at Dundee 360 Real Estate Corporation. It was a tall order. The company is a diversified holding with investments in companies in the wealth management, resources, agriculture and real estate verticals, and her responsibilities included projects in Europe and Cuba among others. Now, as she is working on the final assignment for the EMBA, a research paper to be submitted in December, she’s been promoted to Vice-President, Strategy and Corporate Development. This role broadens her scope to include business strategy, which was a key objective for her when she started her journey with the EMBA program.
The program has helped her develop this strategic perspective and the company-related assignments throughout the year gave her opportunities to apply this knowledge in her own organization. Her new role is a big step, and Dian is clearly ready for the challenge.
