The Desautels Management Achievement Awards were established in 1979 to honour business leaders who have made a significant contribution to society, both through their success in business and their community involvement. These recipients have inspired young students from all backgrounds to develop their own talents as leaders and entrepreneurs. France Margaret Bélanger, Executive Vice President, Commercial and Corporate Affairs for Le Club de Hockey Canadien and Evenko, was one of this year’s recipients, along with Dani Reiss of Canada Goose and Hicham Ratnani of Frank & Oak. France addressed her acceptance remarks to the Desautels undergraduates who were the organizers of the event. She encouraged them to seize opportunities when they come along, pointing out that, worst case, they would learn something valuable they’d be able to use in the rest of their long careers. She also underlined that hard work is part of the package – nothing is handed to you, so you have to be willing to always give your best.
