Sébastien Prévost (EMBA 2012) recently accepted the position of Director, Global Talent Acquisition Strategy and Deployment at BRP. In this role, Sébastien will lead the Global Talent Acquisition team and promote the implementation of higher-level talent acquisition experiences by identifying the best candidates to join the organization. An important part of his role will be to establish BRP’s position as an employer, and to ensure the optimal alignment with the purpose and values of the company.

Until recently, Sébastien oversaw Hospitality Sales and marketing for Cirque du Soleil. Before joining Cirque du Soleil, he was Director of Product Development and Commercialization for Pharmascience, where he was instrumental in setting the Canadian market strategy and evaluating the product portfolio. Earlier in his career, Sébastien developed his marketing and sales expertise at TELUS, where he worked in a variety of areas, including sponsorship, branding and product marketing for the mobility market.

When we asked Sébastien how he will use his EMBA learnings in this new role, he quickly identified the importance of authentic leadership, “‘Ultimately, individuals base their career choices on the reputation of the company but they will stay for the culture and the people’.  That’s also what attracted him to this opportunity. His new role will allow him to work with authentic people and to influence how new talent is on boarded at BRP.  He will tackle the shortage of talent by using his sales and marketing experience (and his adapted Business Model Canvas from the EMBA) to convey how great it is to work for Bombardier Recreational Products.
