Alexandra Schwarz, a McGill-HEC Montreal Executive MBA 2018 alumna has been appointed as General Counsel at FinDev Canada.

FinDev Canada is a Development Finance Institution that offers financial solutions to businesses in developing countries, with the potential to develop markets, empower women and mitigate climate change.

Alexandra has extensive experience and expertise in her field. In recent years, she has been  Senior Counsel and Lead Counsel for organizations such as Export Development Canada, BMO Financial Group and GE Capital.

Before graduating from the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program, Alexandra also graduated in law from Université d’Ottawa and in Sociology from Mount Allison University.

“What the EMBA taught me is that, regardless of the role that you hold in an organization, it’s all about redefining your value proposition in relation to the organization without ever losing sight of all the different stakeholders and of course, your end customer. Once you do that, it will allow you to truly add value, to have an impact, and to effectively become an agent of change.”
