Martin Carrier, a 2016 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA alumnus, has recently been appointed Senior Vice President of Business Development for MELS Studios and Postproduction. He will hold this position until January 2021, when he will take over as President of MELS.

MELS, a member of the TVA Group, offers services such as studio and equipment rental, visual effects, image and sound postproduction, etc.

Martin has over 20 years of experience in managing and leading world-renowned companies. During his EMBA, Martin was Vice President and Studio Manager of Warner Bros. Games Montreal. After his graduation he joined Frima studio, which specializes in video games, as President and CEO.

In his new role, Martin will be responsible for continuing the development and accelerating the growth of MELS. In the official press release, Martin conveyed great enthusiasm about this new challenge:

“It is with great pleasure that I join MELS for this next stage in its evolution. We will aim to combine a technological vision with the company’s historical know-how in order to propel MELS on the local and international scene and to continue to attract more large-scale productions”.
