At the McGill-HEC Montréal, when a participant is late for class, he/she will certainly have missed relevant information, possibly disturbed the class, but above all, he/she will have deprived all his/her classmates of what they could learn from him/her.

It is for all these reasons that every time a student is late, he/she must donate an amount of 10$. The money is collected, and at the end of the “in-class” part of the program, the participants decide, among themselves, the cause to which they wish to make a donation.

This year, the McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA 2022 participants decided to donate the money to the Regroupement pour la Trisomie 21 (RT21). The mission of the Regroupement pour la Trisomie 21 is to “Promote the full development of people with Down syndrome, promote their contribution to society and defend their rights. Support families, caregivers and the professionals around them”.

One of the cohort participants, Yrán Ludeña Santana is a member of the Regroupement pour la Trisomie 21’s Board of Director:

“As member of the Board of Directors within the Regroupement pour la trisomie 21 myself, I am very grateful to each and every one of my classmates since this decision was taken by the whole class and it this demonstrates our capacity for action on behalf of our community. Thank you to the 2022 cohort for their support and contribution to this important cause.”
