Sharlinee Maharaj, a 2020 McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA alumna, has been appointed to the role of Vice-President, People and Culture at Altitude Sports, an ecommerce leader at the intersection of fashion and the outdoors. Sharlinee is the first woman on the company’s executive team.

This is Sharlinee’s second promotion since beginning her McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA journey. She had first been promoted internally at SSENSE before taking on this new challenge at Altitude Sports.

In her new role, Sharlinee will be driving the improvement of the employee experience in order to turn it into a key competitive advantage.

Sharlinee has a proven track record of translating business goals into strong people strategies and driving efforts that promote a high-performance organization. Prior to joining Altitude Sports, she was Director of Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness at SSENSE. During her tenure there, Sharlinee was instrumental in developing the Human Resources infrastructure, which allowed the company to grow and scale its efforts nationally and internationally.
