“The EMBA had been a transformative moment. I started in September 2018 when my twin daughters were just 8 months old! So I went through the program while learning to be a mother. It was a very special moment in my life. The EMBA family helped me to expand my horizons, focus on my values and cultivate my passion for sustainability. I embrace this opportunity at Deloitte with enthusiasm and confidence! This new role is about creating an impact that matters and I am looking forward to it.”

Livia Arrigoni, a McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA 2020 alumna, joined the Deloitte family as Partner in the Risk Advisory practice. In her new role, she will lead the Climate and Sustainability group in Montreal.

Livia has many years of experience serving high profile clients internationally, having worked in the financial audit practice in Italy and the UK. She moved to Montreal in 2013 where she specialized in sustainability and climate change and developed the ESG reporting and assurance practice in Eastern Canada.

“I am very excited to join the Deloitte family. Organizations are shifting their sustainability efforts towards initiatives that generate value for their stakeholders and I am eager to assist my clients in their ESG journey. Under the pressure of boards, investors, and regulators, many business models will adapt to take into account material ESG factors and remain successful. We have a tremendous opportunity to support our clients in this transformation.”

Passionate about responsible investing and sustainable finance, Livia participates in thought leadership and speaking events about ESG reporting and insights.

“Beyond the projects for my clients, I support organizations that generate a positive impact for our community. As a woman with a personal history of immigration, I volunteer for organizations promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. I enjoy serving local establishments involved in impact investing and ESG and am a board member of Microcrédit Montréal. I also volunteer for Centraide of Greater Montreal, and Concordia University.”
