As part of the EMBA Speaker Series, EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal alumni had the privilege of meeting Mr. Yves Desjardins-Siciliano, CEO of Siemens Mobility Canada.

Mr. Desjardins-Siciliano answered the questions of McGill professor Alain Pinsonneault, co-director of the EMBA program, with great authenticity and openness. He told stories about his personal and professional journey, he talked about Siemens Mobility Canada, but above all, he underlined the importance of caring about people, in society, and in business.

According to Mr. Desjardins-Siciliano, in order to be a good CEO, you must possess two essential characteristics: vision and the desire to take care of people.

“If you’re not interested in the personal fate of your employees and their families, don’t be a manager. As leaders, we are responsible, not only for our employees, but for their families, and for all the lives that depend on them.”

Nous souhaitons remercier notre diplômé Steeve Rousseau, EMBA 2016, qui nous a recommandé de rencontrer M. Desjardins-Siciliano et qui a initié le contact. Merci Steeve!
