On September 15, the EMBA McGill – HEC Montréal Class of 2026 gathered at the Université de Montréal’s Salle Claude-Champagne for one final celebration of their academic journey as part of HEC Montréal’s convocation ceremony.
For the program’s 45 graduates, this event marked the third and final milestone in a year of recognition. After completing the demanding 15-month Executive MBA program in December 2025, the cohort first celebrated its achievement at the EMBA graduation ceremony in February, followed by participation in McGill University’s convocation ceremony in May. The HEC Montréal ceremony now brings that chapter to a close.
More than a graduation, the occasion recognized the dedication, resilience, and leadership demonstrated by these experienced professionals throughout a transformative learning experience pursued alongside significant professional and personal responsibilities.
The ceremony also marked an important transition. As graduates of the joint EMBA program, members of the Class of 2026 now become part of three distinguished communities: the alumni network of HEC Montréal, the global alumni community of McGill University, and the uniquely connected network of EMBA McGill – HEC Montréal alumni.
This triple affiliation is one of the program’s defining strengths, creating lifelong opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional engagement across industries, sectors, and borders.
A particularly memorable moment of the ceremony came when Widad Mas, representing the EMBA cohort, addressed her fellow graduates, accompanied on guitar by classmate Frank Gilbert. Their contribution reflected the strong bonds, mutual support, and lasting friendships that develop throughout the EMBA experience.
To the members of the EMBA McGill – HEC Montréal Class of 2026, congratulations on reaching this significant milestone. We look forward to welcoming you as active members of our alumni community and to following the continued impact of your leadership in the years ahead.
