Today, APTN shares programming by, for and about Indigenous Peoples to all Canadians as well as viewers around the world.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>The launch of APTN on September 1, 1999, represented a significant milestone for Indigenous Peoples across Canada. The network has since become an important entertainment, news and educational programming choice for more than 11 million households in Canada.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tshakapesh.ca\/fr\/equipe_118\/\">Marjolaine Tshernish<\/a><\/strong><strong>, Executive Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tshakapesh.ca\/fr\/institut-tshakapesh_14\/\">Tshakapesh Institute<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><em>In order to preserve the Innu language and culture, the Tshakapesh Institute, in a context of openness to the world, offers the communities quality services in the fields of language, culture, and education to promote the success of all. Its main mandates are to assist in the preservation and development of the Innu language as well as to provide educational and administrative support to Innu education staff while promoting exchange and development activities and involving parents in the education of their children.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Two scholarships were awarded to McGill-HEC Montr\u00e9al EMBA participants who are \u00a0leaders and managers in non-profit organizations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nac-cna.ca\/en\/stories\/story\/q-a-genevieve-cimon-director-music-education-and-community-engagement\">Genevi\u00e8ve Cimon<\/a><\/strong><strong>, Director, Music Education and Community Outreach at the <a href=\"https:\/\/nac-cna.ca\/en\">National Arts Center<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><em>The National Arts Centre collaborates with artists and arts organizations across Canada to help create a national stage for the performing arts, and acts as a catalyst for performance, creation and learning across the country.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>A home for Canada\u2019s most creative artists, the NAC strives to be artistically adventurous in each of its programming streams \u2013 the NAC Orchestra, English Theatre, French Theatre, Indigenous Theatre and Dance, as well as NAC Presents, which showcase established and emerging Canadian artists. The organization is at the forefront of youth and educational activities, offering artist training, programs for children and youth, and resources for teachers in communities across Canada.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icm-mhi.org\/en\/foundation\/foundation\/team\">Elsa Desjardins<\/a><\/strong><strong>, Director, Business Development, Events and Funding Projects at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icm-mhi.org\/en\/foundation\">Montreal Heart Institute Foundation<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Since its creation in 1977, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation has worked hard to turn dreams into reality for researchers and employees at the Montreal Heart Institute, helping them to push the boundaries of research, care, prevention and teaching.<br \/>\n<\/em><em>The Foundation raises and administers funds to support research, care, teaching, prevention, rehabilitation, and the assessment of new technologies at the Montreal Heart Institute, thereby encouraging excellence at this world-class institution at the service of Quebecers.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP<\/h3>\n<p>Executives, senior and mid-level managers, professionals and entrepreneurs of indigenous origin and managers from non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply to the McGill \u2013 HEC Montr\u00e9al EMBA program.
