This orphan disease, named after Dr. Tomisaku Kawasaki &#8211; who died in June 2020, is a rare condition that causes inflammation of the blood vessels. It generally affects children under ten years old.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00abComme m\u00e9decin, on peut bien \u00eatre au service des patients et \u00e0 l\u2019affut de la maladie entre le diagnostic et le traitement. Toutefois, il n\u2019y a pas que les connaissances scientifiques et l\u2019acte m\u00e9dical qui comptent afin d\u2019y parvenir\u00a0: la recherche est essentielle.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis ma nomination pour pr\u00e9sider le 14\u00e8me International Kawasaki Disease Symposium qui aura lieu \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al en ao\u00fbt 2024 (une t\u00e2che monumentale), j\u2019ai d\u00fb puiser de mon tact et contacts, mais surtout du parcours \u00e9difiant qui m\u2019a men\u00e9 \u00e0 obtenir mon dipl\u00f4me EMBA. Le <em>motto<\/em> que je me suis donn\u00e9\u00a0: \u00ab Deconstructing Ego \u00bb, a port\u00e9 fruit.
