<\/span><\/div>This fall, the McGill-HEC Montr\u00e9al Executive MBA program welcomes two scholarship recipients. These passionate leaders were recognized for their commitment to their communities and their desire to have a lasting impact.<\/h4>\n
Louis-Edgar Jean-Fran\u00e7ois and Marie-Eve Pichette have been selected for the prestigious EMBA Scholarship for managers of non-profit organizations. This scholarship aims to strengthen ties between the business world and the non-profit sector. These scholarship recipients also enrich the range of perspectives in the class, since their reality and experience differs from most of their 45 classmates.\u00a0 recipients of this scholarship also allow the 46 other EMBA participants, their classmates, to learn from their different reality and experience.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Louis-Edgar Jean-Fran\u00e7ois, an accountant by training, leads two national organizations supporting individuals from ethnocultural diversity: Groupe 3737<\/strong><\/a> where he has held the role of Chairman and CEO for nearly five years, and the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Africaine Canadienne de l\u2019\u00c9conomie (F.A.C.E.)<\/strong><\/a> \u00a0where he is co-founder and Chairman of the board of directors. Louis-Edgar is also involved as president of the Board of Directors of the Montreal East Chamber of Commerce. He career path is impressive career path and his responsibilities are great, yet he feels the need to improve and consolidate his achievements. He believes that communities of ethnocultural diversity will also benefit from his learning \u00a0throughout his EMBA journey.<\/p>\n “The EMBA will enable me to fine-tune my practical management knowledge, but above I will be able to apply my learnings immediately in the day-to-day operations of Groupe 3737 and F.A.C.E. The strong growth of these organizations requires the constant and up-to-date application of good management practices, and the EMBA will help me achieve this goal.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Marie-Eve Pichette is general director of sablon<\/a> and its foundation, an organization whose mission is to enable underprivileged children to flourish through sport and the outdoors. The objective of the sablon Foundation<\/a> is to facilitate access to sport and the outdoors for as many young people as possible so that they are equipped to unleash and exploit their full potential and thus contribute to positively transforming society. Young people participate in sports activities at the Sablon Center, and in several community programs and enjoy the benefits of nature at the Le P\u2019tit Bonheur outdoor center. At the head of sablon for over five years and despite her great experience and her undeniable mobilizing leadership, Marie-Eve feels the desire to push her strategic thinking and her analytical sense further, to share her experience and to nourish herself thanks to her new EMBA classmates.<\/p>\n “I have enough confidence in myself and my abilities to accept stepping out of my comfort zone, which is one of the reasons why I chose this EMBA. I believe it’s the best program to propel me, to challenge me, to take me to another level in my know-how and interpersonal skills.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> By fostering collaboration between leaders of the nonprofit sector and those in the broader business community, the EMBA program helps create a more connected community. This will help find innovative solutions to social challenges, mobilize resources and promote more enlightened and ethical management.<\/p>\n In the classroom, recipients of this scholarship become bridges between two seemingly distinct worlds, contributing to a more united and responsible cohort. Their participation in the McGill-HEC Montr\u00e9al EMBA program promises to catalyze positive change that will have a lasting impact far beyond of the classroom.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> L\u2019EMBA McGill-HEC Montr\u00e9al remet des bourses de 50 000$ \u00e0 des gestionnaires d’organismes \u00e0 but non-lucratif.
