To conclude the Dramaturgie en Dialogue Festival, the Centre des auteurs dramatiques decided to present a very special version of a reading of Michel Tremblay’s “Les belles-sœurs” by 15 Montrealers of diverse cultural backgrounds.

This is an ambitious way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first public reading of Michel Tremblay’s well-known play, as each of the women will read an adaptation of the play in their mother tongue.

One of these “actresses” is Indu Krishnamurthy, a 2015 graduate of McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program and Executive Director of ACEM – Microcrédit Montréal. Native of India, Indu’s reading was in Tamil.

“Des belles-soeurs polyphoniques” is a production of the Centre des auteurs dramatiques and Centre du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui, in partnership with Diversité artistique Montréal and was presented on August 30th.
