Michel R. Filion, founder of the McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA would like to warmly thank Mr. Ignace Mouzannar (EMBA 2020) for his presidency of the «most executive public speaking club in the world». The club, much to Mr. Mouzannar’s image, was one filled with kindness, respect and encouragement. Under his leadership, albeit in zoom mode and despite the pandemic, members of the club built their confidence as speakers, one speech at a time. Sometimes in the form of inspirational speeches, but also in the form of improvisation and speech evaluation. Mr. Mouzannar was supported in his functions by Elena Chouw (EMBA 2019), Constance Venne (EMBA 2020), Yves Lokossou (EMBA 2020), Davender Gupta (EMBA 2018) and Michel R. Filion.
The year 2021-2022 will already mark the 5th anniversary of the McGill-HEC Montreal Toastmaster EMBA club. A big celebration for this purpose is planned for spring 2022. Mr. Jean-François Bertrand (EMBA 2014) and former president of the club will lead the committee responsible for the festivities.
Finally, the new executive for the 2021-2022 season is elected, boasting remarkable parity. Mr. Yves Lokossou (EMBA 2020) will be its president and will be supported in his functions by Elena Chouw (EMBA 2019), Anne Favre (EMBA 2022), Daria Hobeika (EMBA 2019), Michael Rodrigues (EMBA 2020), and Michel R. Filion.
The McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA Public Speaking Club meets from September to June, once every week, and is reserved exclusively for students, graduates and staff of the McGill-HEC Montreal EMBA. It is an exceptional place where generosity and humanity are at the heart of learning.
