During its latest CEO speaker series, our 2022 class experienced an enriching conversation with Frank Kollmar, CEO of L’Oreal Canada.

It’s with a humble approach and excellent communications skills that Mr. Kollmar graciously shared business insight with the cohort. He spoke about collaboration and how different teams work together to understand trends, and the importance of having real conversation and debate across teams. He also shared how L’Oreal adapted to the pandemic.

From Germany, Mr. Kollmar has worked at L’Oréal for nearly 22 years. He rose amid the company’s ranks, occupying various roles at Vichy, Maybelline and Garnier. Under his management, L’Oréal Canada has known tremendous growth from acquisitions. He is a graduate of the Strasbourg Business School and has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Karisruhe.

L’Oréal Canada was founded in 1958. As a subsidiary of the L’Oréal group, the number one cosmetics group in the world, L’Oréal is the largest Canadian beauty company, with its head office located in Montreal and an 1,2 billion dollar business revenue in 2019.
