McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA Program Appoints New Director of Administration and Operations

The McGill-HEC Montréal Executive MBA program’s academic co-directors, Louis Hébert and Alain Pinsonneault, are pleased to announce the appointment of Marie-Hélène Laplante as the new Director, Administration and Operations of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal program. With extensive experience and exceptional leadership in the field of executive education, Marie-Hélène will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the program.

Marie-Hélène joined the EMBA team at the end of June 2023 and will be happy to welcome the new EMBA cohort in September 2023. She will succeed Marianne Vandenbosch, who has held this position for the past fifteen years.

Prior to joining the EMBA, Marie-Hélène worked for 18 years at the Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University and at the McGill University Executive Institute (MEI), where she held key positions in management, human resources and customer service. Marie-Hélène is recognized for her dynamism, her management skills and her ability to implement innovative strategies. She rose through the ranks and contributed to the success of the McGill Executive Institute (MEI).

Marie-Hélène holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and human relations from UQAM as well as a master’s degree in law, specialized in conflict resolution, from the Université de Sherbrooke. She recently completed the Director’s Education Program (DEP) with the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

As Director, Administration and Operations of the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program, Marie-Hélène will ensure the planning of program processes and policies and coordination with the academic directors and faculty of the program. Her overriding objective will be to ensure that the program continues to provide an exceptional learning experience for every participant.

Finally, the entire EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal team would like to highlight the exceptional work accomplished by Marianne Vandenbosch over the past 15 years. Marianne has greatly contributed to the success of the EMBA program over the past years thanks to her listening skills, her concern for the well-being and success of participants, her attention to detail, her hard work, her openness and curiosity, but above all her dedication to making this program the best there is.

To ensure a smooth transition, Marianne will hold her position as Director for a few more months as she will support the 2024 EMBA cohort until their graduation in February 2024.
