Robert Auclair, a McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA 2022 alumnus, was recently elected to represent his home community of Whapmagoostui, to the Board of Directors of the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay for a 3-year mandate.

“It is an honour that the community members voted for me. I will work diligently to represent them and bring forth local community health issues to light at the Board level as well as serve with accountability and transparency.”

In partnership with the Government of Québec, the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay provides health and social services to the 9 communities of the Cree nation of Eeyou Istchee.

In each of the nine communities of Eeyou Istchee, the CBHSSJB operates a Community Miyupimaatisiiun Centre (CMC), which is similar to an Integrated Health and Social Services Centre (CISSS) elsewhere in Quebec.

In addition to CMCs, the CBHSSJB operates the Chisasibi Regional Hospital, three group homes for youth at risk, a Regional Public Health Department and program planning unit, Wiichihiituwin (formerly Cree Patient Services, CPS) liaison offices in Chibougamau, Val-d’Or and Montreal, and a recruitment office in Montreal. The Head Office is in Chisasibi.
