D’ici 2017, Jean-Christophe Coppenrath aura complété son parcours à l’EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal et commencé son nouvel emploi avec Médecins sans Frontières comme Coordinateur des ressources humaines. À ce titre, il sera amené à faire face à différents défis et à travailler dans des situations d’urgence principalement dues aux conflits armés, aux épidémies et aux catastrophes. Il pense que l’EMBA pourra certainement lui être utile dans ce nouvel environnement :
« The EMBA helped me better appreciate the importance of empathy in the workplace, which will be especially significant in some of the volatile environments I will be working in. Moreover, the reflection sessions helped me deliberate on and analyze my past actions and decisions, and reflect on how I can improve my decision making in the future and avoid reacting impulsively – even when I’m under pressure to take quick decisions. »
Il s’agit d’un grand changement de carrière pour ce bachelier en sciences politiques qui a principalement travaillé dans le secteur financier et de la consultation. Il pourra toutefois miser sur son expérience dans différents environnement culturels incluant le Moyen-Orient et l’Afrique du Nord où il travaillait au cours des six dernières années.
